About this event

This new, shorter one-hour workshop will first focus on situations and questions you’ve encountered throughout the season.

We welcome you to send your questions (and/or pictures) for the presenting team to review before this workshop. We will answer these and other questions from attendees first during the workshop.

Send those questions to fredputnamjr@yahoo.com by the end of the day Monday 7/27. He will share them with co-presenters, Tony and Jeff, for the workshop on 7/29.

You can also bring them up during the workshop instead.

Time permitting, we’ll also cover some of the management concerns in this late part of the beekeeping season, such as:

Preventing and dealing with robbing

Dearth impacts, value of pollen subs and when to provide them, and providing water

Ways to remove bees from supers

Simple method for long-term storage of honey supers to prevent damage during storage

Summer bees vs. winter bees

Late-season Varroa and swarm control options
